These headers offer four options for rows: single row, dual row, triple/3-row, and quad/4-row configurations. The 3 and 4-row options provide high-density socket capacity in limited spaces.
Housing Material:
The material options for these female headers include PBT and PA6T thermoplastics (UL94V-0), with maximum process temperatures of:
PBT: 180°C for 30-60 seconds; (200°C for 5-10 seconds)
PA6T: 230°C for 30-60 seconds; (260°C for 5-10 seconds)
These materials cater to different requirements of wave soldering and reflow soldering processes. The housing height options range from 2.0mm to 8.5mm, meeting various requirements of profile above PCB.
Contacts:
The contacts are made of copper alloy with gold plating surface treatment. Two types of terminals are commonly used:
“Y” terminal: Provides 2-point contact with the pins from the male headers during mating.
“U” terminal: Provides 3-point contact with the pins from the male headers during mating.
